This is a section from a book  "Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World," by Adam Grant, pp 117-122. It is recommended by Steve Messenger from our Feb. 8th Dialogue and looks at how the small differences even within a political position can make a huge difference when trying to form coalitions. The core idea for me was: "In seeking alliances with groups that share our values, we overlook the importance of sharing our strategic tactics."
